2015 Fall Spin Sessions at Multisport

West Point Multisport will once again be offering its popular indoor spin classes this fall. Beginning the week of September 28th we’ll be running 6 spin classes every week over the course of a 12 week session ending mid December.

Participants will be lead through progressive and structured workouts each class. We provide use of Cycleops SuperMagneto Pro trainers included in the cost – all riders are required to bring their own bicycle. Class space is limited to 12 participants, so sign up quick while space is available. Wetsuit Rentals at West Point Multisport

Looking for a wetsuit to swim in the open water? Or maybe you need one for an upcoming race?  We can help you with that!

West Point Multisport has a great wetsuit rental program for the 2015 season. The rental fleet is comprised of the Huub Aegis wetsuit. If you’re interested in reserving one for a race make sure to call or email us ahead of time to make the reservation. We also recommend dropping by the store ahead of time to try on the suit to make sure that we reserve the right size for you. (more…)

Summer Outdoor Interval Classes – Start July 7th/ 9th

West Point Multisport’s summer outdoor interval classes begin July 7th/ 9th. These classes provide a wonderful opportunity to meet other cyclists and to take advantage of the longer days and warm weather!

The classes are open to all abilities. Workouts are designed so that cyclists of all levels benefit equally from the class. For safety reasons and to provide quality individual attention, the number of participants for each session will be capped.

Classes leave from West Point Multisport every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm starting on July 7th/ 9th and run through August 4th/ 6th. Classes are typically 1-1.5 hours long and go ahead rain or shine. Participation in the full 5 week session will cost only $50.

You’ve spent countless hours preparing your body for endurance racing, but what have you done for your mind? Mental preparation is the key to properly applying all the training you’ve done over the past months. Whether it’s pacing during the race, pushing through the pain, or staying calm before the event, aspects touching upon mental approach should never be discounted.

Mental Performance Consultant Heidi Malo has worked with National Alpine Ski Teams, Olympians, X-Games athletes, and endurance athletes in their quests to maximize their performances. She’ll be joining us via Skype for our next Tri Talk on Mental Approaches for Excelling in Endurance Sports at 6:30pm on Wednesday June 17 at West Point Multisport. Heidi has experience working with Ultra Runners, Ironman athletes, as well as athletes coping with apprehension of open water swimming. (more…)
